June 4th Team – Holding Tight At High Camp!

Lucyna Kolodziejska called in from High Camp.  The team is tucked in and awaiting the necessary weather window to make a summit bid.

Summit day is a long, tough one, and at such high latitude and altitude, teams really need good weather to take a shot at the top.  The guides constantly scan the ridgelines to assess the speed of winds on the upper mountain, generally observable by snow streaming off ridges in streams or occasionally plumes that can stretch for many hundreds of meters, when it is blowing hard.

They have plenty of time and are in good spirits.  Think warm, windless thoughts!
