June 13 Team Backcarries from 11,200′

The June 13th team dropped back down glacier today, retrieving the supplies they had left at 9,800′ a couple days earlier. Lead Guide Durny gave some insight into the team’s meals with references of quesadillas for lunch ad a pizza dinner.

Also of interest is his report of hearing thunder from a lightning storm to the west of the Range. That is not something that the vast majority of Denali climbers have ever experienced! It’s is testimony to the warm weather that has been plaguing Alaska for the past couple of weeks, but it must have been quite the experience for the team.

Here’s Durny!
