June 12 team heading down

They woke up to wind and snow again this morning and weren’t able to go for the summit again.   It needs to be a pretty nice day high on Denali to spend the 12 hours + that it can take to go up to 20,320 ft and back.   It sounds like they just never got a decent day.  They are descending right now back down to Camp 3 at 14,200 ft.   They gave it a great effort, and sometimes that just isn’t enough, you need some weather luck to get you to the summit.    We expect to get a call this afternoon/evening on their way down.
