EBC Team Exits Everest Base Camp

During our evening at Everest Base Camp, Ann Marie began to have symptoms related to altitude sickness. Being at 17,600 feet there is much less air pressure than at sea level, not allowing one to take in as much oxygen as your body is used to. With using what tools we had for the evening, we decided in the morning as a team to take a helicopter out of base camp to descend while the weather was clear. The whole team is back in Kathmandu healthy and happy, and the first thing we did was get out of all our puffy jackets as fast as possible!

Another amazing and unforgettable expedition into the Khumbu valley! See you all soon. Much love!
