Denali West Rib Team Help with a Rescue Today

This prolonged stretch of cold, windy, snowy weather has mostly kept our climbers at the 14,200 ft camp for many days now.  This morning they awoke to -40 temps, but clear skies, and after breakfast and letting the sun do it’s work for a while, they decided to go up and try to cache some food and fuel for their move to high camp.  Along the way, they came upon a solo climber who had spent a night out and had some frostbite, so they turned their focus to helping the climber out and getting him down to the 14,200 ft camp where there are some facilities and NPS resources to help out.   Our guys are doing great, and hoping for the weather to turn so they can get climbing again.

Here’s Sebastian with the evening dispatch and the story.
