Jacob called to report that he, Ed and Kaz are in Plaza de Mulas. Jacob and Ed had perfect timing: they arrive right at lunch time, and they were served pizzas hot out of the oven!  Sounds like the team is a bit tired from the long descent from High Camp, so I don’t know if they will make it to midnight to celebrate the new year, but they may try! Tomorrow the team will hike out a fair distance to the park entrance, where they will be met and taken to a hotel in Penitentes, the small ski town the team visited at the beginning of the expedition. I’m sure the thought of a hot shower and a proper bed will motivate the crew!
