After 5 big days of trekking the team reached Carstensz Base Camp! The trek has been challenging and quite rainy, but this is typical for the highlands of Papua. They are happy to be settled in to base camp and plan to summit within the next few days after they

Scott called in on the 4th morning of their trek to Carstensz to report that the weather is beautiful and they are enjoying great views of the Surinam Range on their way to Carstensz. They've faced many challenges along the way with over the boot-top mud, upset locals, and rain.
