Our heroes are taking a day to rest, acclimate, and recover today after carrying loads up to high camp yesterday. They are hoping to be able to go to the summit on the 9th, so they'll move up to high camp tomorrow morning and get in position to take a

Seba and John called to report that they are approximately one hour from the summit. They climbed the west ridge and had the ridge to themselves for the afternoon. They sound great and the weather is holding, with good visibility of the surrounding ice fields, which stretch to the horizon.
