Guide Jacob Schmitz just called from the summit. He and Ed braved through consistent high winds to reach the summit of Aconcagua, 22,840 ft. It sounds like it was a tough climb, but both Jacob and Ed are doing well and resting for a moment on top, savoring their achievement.

Ed and Jacob are heading to the summit today and Kaz descended to base camp yesterday afternoon with a bit of a cold that just wasn't getting any better up at 19,000 ft. It was disappointing for Kaz, but you really need to be healthy and feeling your best to

The December 26th Mountain Trip Mount Vinson Expedition arrived in Antarctica today. The guys enjoyed a rest day today, a final chance to recover and acclimatize prior to the summit push. They hope to move to high camp tomorrow, and summit the following day! Sounds like they had a great day, listen to the call. recording

Jacob called in this evening from Camp 2 after climbing up to high camp at over 19,500 ft today. They had a good day and plan to rest tomorrow to get a bit more acclimatization and rest prior to moving up to high camp and pushing on to the summit!

The December 16th team moved from Camp 1 to Camp 2 today, and Kaz called in a special team report in Japanese. While we don't speak enough Japanese to translate the report, we do know that the team continues to move well and everyone is doing a great job. The
