Guide Jacob Schmitz just called from the summit. He and Ed braved through consistent high winds to reach the summit of Aconcagua, 22,840 ft.  It sounds like it was a tough climb, but both Jacob and Ed are doing well and resting for a moment on top, savoring their achievement. They will head back down to High Camp shortly, spend the night, and then continue on to Plaza de Mulas tomorrow.

Congratulations Ed and Jacob!
