Nicole Passage called in a nice post from the team’s new home at 11,200′ on Denali’s West Buttress. They have been capitalizing on the incredible weather and have only just experienced their first snow flurries of the trip.
The 11,200′ basin camp is a stunning place, with big views to the west, looking out across the tundra to the horizon. On three sides, they are ringed by steep snow and ice walls, rocky crags and immense ice cliffs.
