John and Sebastian moved up to Camp 1 or “low camp” today in a 5 1/2 hour push. It’s a good long day with big packs, and pulling sleds full of food, but they did great. They’ll ring in the New Year there at low camp, and then plan to climb up to high camp tomorrow to acclimatize, and then spend another night at low camp.
