The June 13th team has been riding out the aftermath of a major storm that dropped nearly 2 feet of snow on 14 Camp (14,200 ft / 4,328 m). Today, the crew watched multiple avalanches sweep down the steep walls surrounding camp — a powerful reminder of the terrain they’re moving through.
With skies clearing and the snow starting to settle, the team took a scenic walk around camp, stretching their legs and checking conditions. Spirits remain high, and everyone’s making the most of downtime — reading, resting, and enjoying some well-earned comfort food.
If conditions continue to improve, the team is planning to move to High Camp (17,200 ft / 5,243 m) as early as tomorrow. They’re feeling recharged, hopeful, and one step closer to the summit.
