The June 17th team enjoyed an epic weather day at 14 Camp (14,200 ft / 4,328 m) today — finally a break in the clouds and a chance to soak it all in. They took a walk out to the iconic Edge of the World overlook for some unreal views and snapped photos in the sunshine.
Back in camp, the crew fueled up with grilled cheese for lunch and jambalaya for dinner — comfort food hits different at 14K. Spirits are high and energy is up as they walked around the well-populated camp, meeting climbers from all over the world who are chasing the same summit dream.
It’s been a solid rest and reset day as the team watches the forecast closely and plans their next move higher on the route. Everyone’s acclimating well, staying strong, and soaking up the camaraderie of this high-altitude hub.
