The June 15th team officially touched down on Denali today, flying into basecamp under clear skies and endless sunshine. Spirits were high as they stepped onto the glacier and began their long-anticipated expedition.
After setting up camp at 7,200 feet (2,195 m), the crew enjoyed a celebratory brunch of fried rice, followed by a satisfying burger dinner with the Alaska Range glowing in the midnight sun. With 24 hours of daylight, time moves differently up here—but for now, everyone’s tucking in for some rest before their first glacier move.
They’ll be traveling overnight to Camp 1 to take advantage of cooler temps and firmer snow. Love and gratitude go out to everyone following along back home—this adventure is just beginning.
