Assistant guide, Kaylee Walden radioed in to let us all know that the June 15 Team is making continued progress up the West Buttress route in excellent time. The group has arrived at Camp 2 11,000 ft (3353 m) in warm weather and some of the most beautiful conditions of the climbing season so far. Conditions are king in the mountains and especially in Alaska! So far, this team seems to be hitting weather windows and taking advantage of the clear, sunny skies to cover as much distance as possible while still allowing their bodies to gradually acclimatize to the increasing altitude.
