Lead guide Jesse Wright took some time to introduce everyone on the team. The May 24 group has spent about a day and a half at Denali Base Camp, unfortunately in the rain-snow mix, after catching the last flight in from Talkeetna after the storm descended on the Alaska Range.
The team practiced some basic, but essential skills for travel on the lower glacier, like moving efficiently as a rope team, rigging sleds and packs for glacier travel. It sounds like they are eager to move up higher and hopefully above the snow line for drier and more comfortable conditions.Weather permitting, they hope to leave for the journey up to Camp One today, to move camp and all of their gear packed in sleds and heavy packs, up the glacier to 7,800′.

Hey Jesse! Bummer about the wet rain. Hope you have a good trek up to the summit!!
