May 13 West Buttress Expedition – Moving camp to 14,200′

Lead guide Yoshiko called in an update for the May 13 West Buttress team, who enjoyed great weather yesterday setting their next cache at around 13,400′, past Windy Corner. At times, this area can see, as the name implies, freezing, driving winds, but the team had sunshine and pleasant wether for bringing up their cache.

Today, Monday 5/20, they plan to move up to Camp Three at 14,200′, where they will spend a few days. Camp Three, also known as “14-Camp” is a key location for acclimatization on the route before the team moves higher.

Here’s Yoshiko!
