Mountain Trip guide Fischer Hazen called in an update for the June 15 Denali West Buttress team as the team was packing up to head to Camp Two at 11,200′. The team will continue to travel on the night schedule up to Camp Two, leaving at around 1 a.m. by the light of the midnight sun. They have already placed their cache near the summit of Kahiltna Pass, which they will retrieve once they have established their next camp. The weather has cleared a bit, allowing the team to catch some views of the surrounding peaks, including Mount Foraker and the all the way up to the summit of Denali, still over 12,000′ above them.
