They have officially put the sleds away for the remainder of the ascent, and will trade out their snowshoes and poles for crampons and ice axes.
Today they will spend their day carefully ascending the headwall up around Washburn’s Thumb to set their cache for their move up to High Camp at 17,200′! It sounds like the clear weather has decided to stick around for a few days, providing the team with spectacular views and great climbing.
Here is to continued safety, fun, challenge, and spectacular views. This team is in our daily thoughts and LOTS of us are praying for you back in Kentucky! Love you, Todd W. Burris! The girls and I are counting down the days till we get to see you again!
