Lead guide Harrison called in to let us know that the May 12th West Buttress Denali Expedition took a rest day today due to inclement weather.

The May 12 team remained at 14 Camp due to low visibility, cold, snowy, and windy conditions. However, everyone remains in good spirits and the team enjoyed a breakfast of hot coffee and pancakes. The plan is to remain at 14 camp to eat, hydrate, and practice skills the climbers will use on the upper mountain until the weather clears. 14 Camp is located in the beautiful Genet basin and climbers are rewarded for their progress with incredible views.
