The morning dawned clear in Talkeetna, Alaska and the team ate a hearty breakfast before heading to our friends at Talkeetna Air Taxi for one of the more amazing flights possible.

The team is in the air and headed to Base Camp!

The flight will last about 40 minutes, as they depart the lush green of Talkeetna and make their way across the snow covered foothills and into the rugged, heavily glaciated Alaska Range.  Landing at Base Camp is exhilarating, to say the least.  The ski equipped planes will bounce and slide until they glide to a halt amidst peaks soaring one to two miles above the climbers’ heads.
