May 30 Denali Team at 14k

Gary called in the evening dispatch on the satellite phone from the 14,200ft Camp 3 on Denali. They enjoyed a bit of a rest and recovery day today as they acclimatize to the altitude and prepare for moving higher on the mountain. They’re in good company as there are 3 other Mountain Trip teams in camp currently waiting to move up to high camp soon.  The next step for the team will be to climb up to the ridge leading to high camp and put in a cache of food and fuel for their summit push. They hope to wake to good weather tomorrow and make their first climb up the steeper terrain leading to the ridge at over 16,000 ft.
