May 24 traverse team- carry to 18,500′

Chris and Greg called to report that they all carried a load of gear to about 18,500′, up and over Denali pass to the upper Harper glacier.  They stood out among the rest of the West Buttress crowd because they pulled sleds full of gear up the ‘autobahn’, where most parties only have light packs.  Having gear up high sets the stage for the team to move camp up and over Denali pass, as they plan to summit and continue down the other side of the mountain.  Conditions were very windy as the day went on, but things went smoothly and they are now waiting for their hot drinks to be ready.
