May 20th Team Eating Well at 14 Camp

The May 20th expedition team celebrated their huge climb up to 16,400 ft yesterday with a good nights sleep in their tents and an epic breakfast of croissants, sausage, and brie the next morning. While weather isn’t allowing the team to move from 14 Camp (14,200 ft / 4328 m) and the forecast is showing an impending storm the crew is lucky to be eating well at the most well-equipped camp on the West Buttress route.

To stay busy during rest days the climbers can stay productive by cutting blocks of snow and building walls around their tents that will block the strong winds that during storms. The crew relaxed in their tents before dining on pulled pork tacos for dinner and reported that they are happy, healthy, and ready to send!
