May 20 team- at 7,800′ camp, moving to basecamp

Another Mountain Trip team relayed a message from Jacob, reporting that this expedition was asleep in their tents at camp 1 preparing for the last leg of their journey down the Kahiltna glacier to basecamp.  Traveling at night this time of the year on the lower glacier is very important, so they are resting during the day and moving at night.  It has actually been raining from 9,800′ on down, so catching the snow at the time when it’s frozen can make travel much more manageable for the team.
