The May 14th team made it to Camp 2 today, though the day ran longer than expected. A busy track on the route and tough conditions meant the team had to wait on other recreational parties at several points, which slowed their overall pace. The team pushed through a tough day, which is part of the natural adjustment to altitude and the demands of expedition-style travel.
The team will have a weather day tomorrow which will give everyone a chance to recover and reset before the next move higher on the mountain.
For dinner, pizza is on the menu at camp tonight — a well-earned reward after a long day of work.
Tune in and listen to our May 14th team in camp tonight!

Pizza!! I mean – seems like it was well-earned. Sending Melanie love and good vibes while we get daily pics of Couchen from her cat sitter. 😉
