May 14 Team Rest Day at Camp 3

Andrew called in with the report last night. The team has set up their cache at 16,200′ (4937m), and now they are just waiting for the winds on the upper mountain to calm down a bit so they can join two of our other teams at High Camp. Not too much else to report here! This is part of the game. You can do everything to set yourself up for success, but in the end, the Mountain decides. Which is why we always plan several weather days into our expeditions. Having a little more time helps take at least a little pressure off the decision making, and give higher chances of a summit attempt.
