Marcus called in to update us from Denali Basecamp!

Today the team started out in Anchorage and began their journey by first driving about two hours to the small town of Talkeetna. After meeting with the Park Rangers, and enjoying some time in Talkeetna, they were able to fly into Basecamp on the Kahiltna Glacier! The flight in is an exciting moment as it finally feels like all of your training and anticipation has led you to this, and it’s finally happening. As you fly out of Talkeetna you cross braided rivers before arriving at the base of the Alaska Range. The views are truly unbeatable as you make your way to the landing strip at basecamp, and now it’s off to the races! The team will spend their first night here before an early start tomorrow morning up to Camp 1.
