The May 11th team is taking a full rest day at Camp 2 today. Hunkered down as weather moves through the area.
Storm days are when tent life really comes into its own — books get read, card games get played, stories are traded, and big pots of hot food fuel long conversations. It’s a slower pace, but one that quietly knits the team together for the harder days ahead.
Tomorrow, weather permitting, the plan is to back-carry their cache from the pass, bringing those supplies up to Camp 2 and consolidating the team’s position before continuing higher on the mountain.
Take a listen as guide, Mike Poleto out of Aspen, Colorado, gives us a recap of their day and plans for tomorrow!
