The trekkers continued their traverse around Kilimanjaro, over the Lava Tower and back down to Barranco Camp today. They are acclimatizing a bit more each day and getting strong for the upper mountain. Here’s the expedition update from Marcus today: “Climb high, sleep low! Today was a part of our acclimatization plan. We left camp to head up to Lava Tower at around 15,000’. Had a lovely lunch in the snow and then back down to Baranco Camp, where we saw some cool prehistoric trees.” – Marcus Bailado
