June 5 Team Takes a Rest Day at Camp 3

Yesterday the team was able to take some time at Camp 3 (14,200′ 4328m) to rest. Lots of naps were taken, as well as a trip to The Edge of The World. The Edge of the World is where Genet Basin, where Camp 3 sits, drops dramatically from 14,200′ (4328m) down 6,000′ (1828m) to the Southeast Fork of the Kahiltna Glacier below. The view is incredible, and allows climbers to observe the full expanse of Mount Foraker (Sultana) from top to bottom. Pictured below. The team will be moving up to High Camp today.
