June 26th crew enjoyed a beautiful day high on Denali

It was a great day up at 14,000 ft on Denali, sunny, warm, and no winds.  The team picked up the cache below them near Windy Corner, and carried their gear back up to Camp 3 where they will spend a couple of more nights.

Tomorrow they plan to carry a load of gear up to about 16,400 ft on the ridge leading up to high camp.   They’ll be heading up one of the steepest portions of the route tomorrow to reach the ridge, and will be utilizing the fixed ropes that are in place.   They spent the afternoon practicing the skills needed to travel up and down through this terrain, and will get a chance to put the skills to use tomorrow.
