FINAL TRIP DISPATCH FROM THE MAY 22ND TEAM

From Lead Guide Caitlin Hague:

Well, Denali is a fickle gal and she certainly didn’t take it easy on us. This expedition put up with some of the worst weather I’ve seen in my 8 years of guiding up there. We had weather days at every camp, including at the end of our trip just trying to fly out of basecamp. It speaks volumes about Taro, Rob, Mike, Dan, Amy, and Jay that they never lost hope or became negative in the face of all that time lying in the tent with feet of snow accumulating all around us.

It was a pleasure to get to know all of you. We shared quite a few laughs over dinner in the mid and on the trail. On behalf of the guide team, I want to thank all the climbers and let you know how much we enjoyed climbing with you. Hope to see you in Alaska again.

Keep Climbing,

Caitlin
