Feb 1 Aconcagua Team in Basecamp – Plaza Argentina

Aconcagua comes into sight up the Relinchos Valley from Casa de Piedra camp this morning.

The guys are moving right along and arrived in basecamp this afternoon!

They trekked for 2 days up the Vacas Valley and this morning, crossed the Rio Vacas and headed up the Relinchos valley straight towards Aconcagua.  The views are stunning on the approach as the mountain and the Polish Glacier loom large on the approach to the Plaza Argentina basecamp.  The team will spend 4 nights here in the relaAconcagua approachtive comfort of basecamp where they’ll have a cook preparing delicious food and access to showers a heated dining tent. These are important days to recover and acclimatize before pushing up higher on the mountain.  They will
