Everest Team headed out for second rotation

Several days of rest down at Everest Base Camp are coming to a close for our Everest team. They are planning to head back up to Camp One leaving at 2 a.m. tonight to head back through the Khumbu Icefall to begin their second round of acclimatization on the route.
They will spend another five nights up above the Icefall, traveling first to Camp One, then Camp Two, with a highpoint of Camp Three above the imposing Lhotse Face. Our full Sherpa team will be heading back up the route as well, to help more thoroughly establish camps and to move bottled oxygen up to Camp Four.
Our team is feeling ready and excited for this next rotation. The icefall has been relatively quiet last couple days with just light snowfall overnight and the forecast is calling for good weather on the mountain over the next few days. We’re wishing the climbers and Sherpas the best of luck. We will update you on their progress when we can.
