Scott left a message today that they are hiking back through the jungle and hope to be in Sugapa tomorrow night. It sounds like things are going well, and they are making above average time. We suspect that they will be back down in the thickly canopied gorges for much of the time until they arrive in Sugapa, so we are not expecting any reports called in over the satellite phone, which needs a fairly unobstructed view of the sky to transmit.
They called in a message to the Dispatch Blog earlier, but we are having some internet connectivity challenges at the Mountain Trip HQ, and cannot hear it. Our satellite based internet is very slow due to a fairly heavy snow storm we’ve been experiencing this evening. We’ll post more as we hear from the team. Great work, guys!
