Aconcagua Team Heads to Camp 1

The team has enjoyed the luxury of Base Camp and they are acclimatized, rested up, and ready to climb. They packed their gear this morning and are moving up to Camp 1 today. The porters will carry the tents, food, fuel and group gear, leaving the climbers with their sleeping bags and clothing to carry up today. It’s a climb of nearlty 800 vertical meters, and should take them four hours or so to move on up. They’ll set up camp and settle into their new home for a couple of nights at 16,200 feet (4,970 meters) as they continue to work their way up the mountain.
