Aconcagua Team at High Camp

The climbers are at High Camp tonight! At over 19,000 feet (5,870 meters), they are at extreme altitudes now and hope to get some sleep tonight before heading to the summit early in the morning. They spent the last three nights at over 18,000 feet, so this is a step up, but they’ve been acclimatizing and are ready for it. Tomorrow is the biggest day of the climb. They’ll leave camp before the sun comes up and will be climbing for 10-12 hours at high altitude to the summit at 22,841feet (6,961 meters) and back to their tents. The weather looks good and the team is in perfect position, so let’s wish them all luck for a great day tomorrow!
