Everest Trekking Team Acclimatizing in Dingboche

Namaste and good morning from Dingboche! Today we enjoyed an absolutely beautiful hike up Nangkartshang for a day of acclimatization. We reached a height of 5,100 meters (16,700 feet). We left our warm tea house by the fire at 8:30 a.m. layered up in multiple jackets entering into the cold windy clouds. Midway up the mountain, the clouds broke and we were staring directly at Ama Dablam. After some incredible photos were taken, we continued to the summit to reach the thin air above followed by a smooth and quick descent back down to town.

Please enjoy these photos of Dingboche and our time spent here 🙂 Tomorrow we plan to take a full rest day of town loitering with a locally baked croissant and coffee in hand. Stay tuned as we continue our ascent up to Everest Base Camp. We are now only a few days away!

Much love!
