Terry Sanders gave a call from the beautiful basin camp at 11,000′ after the team had an active rest day of sorts. They slept in, at a big breakfast and then dropped down out of camp to retrieve the cache of supplies they had buried a couple days ago at around 10,00 feet. In climber parlance, this is called “backcarrying” or making a backcarry.
After uncovering their supplies, they loaded up their packs and sled to make the ~ hour hike back to camp. All in all, this was a much easier day than the big days of work they have performed thus far on their climb.
Terry has a special shout out in his message. On behalf of the Mountain Trip Family – Congratulations you two!!
