Mountain Trip Guide Ty Guarino gave us a shout from the 14,200′ site of their Camp 3 on the West Buttress route of Denali. The team took a rest day today, further building their acclimatization and recovering from the hard work they’ve been performing recently. The weather was mixed, with winds higher up on the mountain being a bit too strong for their liking.
They are planning to move back up the fixed lines and continue higher along a stunning ridge to establish their high camp at 17,200′ as soon as the weather permits. In the meantime, they are resting, eating, and eating some more!
