Our team of climbers joining us from Indonesia are headed to the summit of Denali! They are currently at Denali Pass, a low point between the taller South Summit of Denali and the North summit. They just climbed up through a notorious stretch of the West Buttress route known in the dark humor of Alaskan climbers as “The Autobahn,” for a party of Germans who slipped on this stretch years ago.
The weather looks good and they have been moving very well, so stay tuned for updates as they make their way towards the top of North America!
Any update from june 17 team from the summit?
Thanks
They reached the summit in the evening, and with the time difference between Alaska and our Colorado office, we did not hear until this morning. Please see the summit photo at https://mountaintrip.com/trip-reports/june-17-wissemu-indonesian-team-summits/
