Ignacio called in a post from the site of the team’s Camp 1, located at 7,800′ (2200m) on the Kahiltna Glacier. The team awoke early and hiked about 5 miles (8 km) up the broad Kahiltna, passing stunning peaks and hiking past massive crevasses. Camp 1 is located where a tributary glacier, the Northeast Fork of the Kahiltna, spills out onto the main glacier. The view up the northeast Fork looks right at Denali, the summit of which is over two miles above the team.
Ignacio llamo desde el sitio del campamento 1 , ubicado en 7800 ‘ ( 2200m ) en el glaciar Kahiltna . El equipo se despertaron temprano y caminaron unos 5 millas ( 8 km) hasta el amplio Kahiltna , pasando montanas impresionantes y grietas masivas .
