The team attempted to move to High Camp today, but a quick moving storm caught up to them on the ridge above 14 Camp, at the top of the fixed lines. The weather moved in and the winds picked up, so the team decided to descend to 14 Camp to wait out the storm. Lead guide Adam Smith reports that everyone is back at 14 Camp, safe and sound, and they are eating, drinking, and fortifying their camp by building snow walls in order to block the brunt of the storm’s wind.
