June 16th Snyder Team – An unfortunate turn of events

The June 16th Snyder team is safely off the mountain and back in town. The team made the decision to end their expedition and descend. Everyone is doing well and settled in back in Anchorage.

Decisions to come off the mountain are always made carefully and with the team’s wellbeing as the top priority. That’s the heart of responsible climbing on Denali, and this team and their guides handled everything exactly as they should.

We’re grateful to everyone who supported this team, both on the mountain and back home. We’re glad to have them safely off the glacier, and we wish them all the best.

Family and friends are encouraged to leave comments for their loved ones on this expedition. Please keep in mind that climbers will not be able to see posts or comments until they return to Talkeetna at the end of the expedition.

Don’t forget that you can subscribe to this expedition’s Field Reports by entering your email address in the form to the right or below if viewing via mobile. That way, you never miss an update!
