Denali doesn’t always give its summit up easily, and this year, the mountain experienced highly unusual avalanche hazards above High Camp that stopped several of our teams, including our June 19th crew. We invite you to read about the details of the avalanche problems HERE.

The June 19th team ultimately descended back to Basecamp and flew off the mountain. Everyone is out of the field and while they are undoubtedly disappointed, they understand that this was an insurmountable problem that they encountered.
