June 25th Team Descends from High Camp to Camp 2

Jordan’s June 25th team is currently back at Camp 2 (11,000 ft / 3,353 m) after making the difficult but wise decision to descend from High Camp (17,200 ft / 5,243 m). Persistent avalanche conditions on the Autobahn — the steep traverse from High Camp toward the summit on the West Buttress route — combined with a deteriorating forecast, led the team to prioritize safety and begin their descent.

After a strong and committed effort on the upper mountain, the team is now moving steadily back toward the airstrip at Basecamp (7,200 ft / 2,195 m), with plans to fly out tomorrow, weather permitting.

Morale remains high, and the crew is proud of the choices made throughout this expedition. Every climber gave their all, and returning home safely is always the most important goal.

Everyone is looking forward to reconnecting with loved ones — this time, not through a satellite phone. Stay tuned for one final update as they prepare to fly off the glacier.
