June 19th Team Moves into Camp 3

The June 19th team is settling in for their first night at Camp 3 (14,000 ft / 4,267 m) after a strong push up the mountain today. They carried heavy loads from Camp 2 and made excellent progress, especially on the heels of yesterday’s effort breaking trail through fresh snow to cache gear around Windy Corner (13,000 ft / 3,962 m).

After wrapping up a well-earned dinner tonight, the team is cozy in their tents and looking ahead to an active rest day tomorrow. The plan: trek back to retrieve their Windy Corner cache and spend time practicing the technical skills they’ll need for the next section of the climb.

With weather holding, the team is feeling strong and optimistic about moving up the headwall via the fixed lines in the coming days. Stay tuned for more updates from 14 Camp!
