June 15th Team Makes Steady Progress to Camp 2

The June 15th team continued their steady progress up Denali today, moving from Camp 1 (7,800 ft / 2,377 m) to a new camp on Ski Hill (9,800 ft / 2,987 m). This section of the route climbs gradually along the upper Kahiltna Glacier, offering wide-open views and a steady gain in elevation. The team traveled efficiently and arrived in great shape, setting up camp on the broad bench just below the final push to 11 Camp.

Everyone is feeling strong, well-acclimated, and excited for what’s ahead. Tomorrow, the group plans to continue upward to 11 Camp (11,000 ft / 3,353 m), one of the major staging points on the West Buttress. It’s a solid and motivated crew, and spirits remain high. The June 15th team is sending love to everyone following along from home — and you can tap the recording link below to hear their latest live update from the mountain.
