The June 9th team checked in today from 14 Camp (14,200 ft / 4,328 m) after a big milestone: their first successful climb of the Denali headwall on fixed lines. This was a full-value training day, putting all their technical skills into real alpine application — and they crushed it.
While the team practiced climbing steep snow and fixed lines, guides made a gear cache up at 16,200 ft / 4,938 m, setting the stage for the next leg of the expedition.
With stable weather and strong momentum, the team is on track to move to 17 Camp (17,200 ft / 5,243 m) in the next 48 hours. These climbers are in excellent hands and feeling solid as they prep for high camp and their eventual summit bid.
Wish them luck and stay tuned for the next update!
